With new games being released almost every week, there are the games that people enjoy, and there are the ones that trigger our brains to go into a state of nostalgic excitement. With our hands sweating in anticipation and our brains trying to piece together a story line in our heads of how the memory will be recorded. Will we ask ourselves “will the hype be worth it at the end, or will my excitement lead to disappointment?” Luckily, we have pre-game demos that let us asses the desirability of the game. Allot of people will go “hardcore” and not view trailers, play any demos or see any pre-release statements from the company because their faith in the product being good is that high. With all game demos in my opinion they are the test factor if you will. Game demos are the thing that allow me and many others to asses if their love for the game they have hoped and dreamed for is justified.
with Resident Evil Two remake being one of the most hyped about games of 2018 and so far 2019, we have high hopes and blind praises for a game that was the first of its kind over 22 years ago with the second game first releasing January 21st 1998, allot of fans were skeptical if there ever was going to be a re-make of the classic horror title. We no longer have to wonder about it happening. The remake of Resident Evil Two will be arriving on shelves and digitally 1/19/2019. Let’s get excited about this because allot of “older games” are usually not remade unless it was a bigger title. This game changed the way horror was looked at. Not as just jump scares but as something more psychologically driven.
with the game set to release this weekend, the demo was a complete surprise and was not really expected amongst the crowd of zombie fans. Allot of us I didn’t expect Capcom to release anything really, with the game being very close to its release date. But they did, and they left us with open mouth and in a state of shock, why? They put out a demo in which you only had thirty minutes to play it. That’s right folks, for the first time I believe in gaming we get a timed demo. Personally, I think this is such a smart marketing tactic. With this being a game in dire need of new life, and a fresh perspective Capcom gave fans a spur of the moment chance at viewing as much as you could before the big release. Yes, allot of fans are irritated that you are timed in a hectic and overwhelming setting as far as what to grab and take goes.
I wish all companies did this. Setting a timer on a game demo allows the player to explore what they can explore in the time given and raises the hype EVEN MORE! So, if you know you’re getting the game don’t get hurt that you have a timer. Not everything gets to be easy, not everything is free in life. So, let’s get excited and ready for this release. Welcome back to the horror that started it all! #residenteviltwo #residentevil #capcom
