Intro:
The hardest thing we can do is let someone go, with a small price of taking other people’s souls you can now bring someone back to life. Paranormasight brings a very real question into play. Would you bring someone back to life if you could, and would you risk your own life in the process? With six endings to explore, dialogues to uncover, and pieces of story that present a gripping narrative Paranormasight creates a very unique experience for the player to get lost in.
The Dead Came Back:
Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a visual novel developed by Xeen, Published by Square Enix creates a story where the player must unravel the mystery behind the curses that are taking over the district. With a flow chart allowing players to go between storylines and fix or change their responses, it gives the game an almost late nineties Goosebumps feel to it. I believe whole heartedly that R.L Stein would have loved this game and would have even written a story inspired by it.
With this game being just a visual novel, and having multiple endings I was shocked at how immersive the story and writing was and how much was put into it. it felt like I was watching a movie and taking part in the outcome.
Choose Wisely:
In Paranormasight the biggest part of this game is in how the choices you make affect the game play. It's how the story flows and how the game was designed where the player controls the universe, the characters, and in a sense in playing god. You can curse people you can take control of everything. Normally in visual novels there is some control that the payer will have, but some control that the game will take away from the player. With this game total control is in the players hands. Not just with the choices you make but in the story boards and ability to correct past choices as well.
The Dead Can Hear:
With six endings that are possible to obtain, and access to the flow chart the game opens up your choices and possibilities even more. The way you play this game is up to you, choose wisely.
