Is this What Created Resident Evil? Sweet Home Review

It Was Midnight:

When the clock strikes 12, the memories take over. Sweet home takes us back to the late 1980’s and brings us close to what created the amazing, the popular and ever so wonderful series Resident Evil. From the mansion, the notes to the pixilated ghouls that haunt this game I can say for certain Sweet home has cemented itself as a must play classic of early horror era.

The Father Of Horror: Demons, a little spice, and haunted mansion that’s not so nice make for very weary travelers. I love how this mansion, the notes and the characters turned into one of the most iconic games on the market today. With a vibe that is a cross between the early finally fantasy games and undertale I’m pretty sure this game got the most memorable remake of them all with the classic Resident Evil game that came in out on March22nd of 1996. The game brings out the best kind of nostalgia in the in music, controls, camera shakes and creepy graphics that look adorable now but back in the 80’s TERRIFYING to the general public. Sweet home has a certain charm about the game that the Japanese only ever saw since it was band in the U.S because it was deemed “too graphic” to be shown. If only saw what was coming their way in the coming years. As the game goes on, the dialogue (which there was barely any of) made the statement that less is more and that in Sweet Home, you need only to let the atmospheric noises of creepy worms to lull you to a restful slumber.

The game that would make history: This game on its own is very simple. Find the frescos, hidden messages and try not to die. Shinji Mikami expanded on this game in ways that I don’t think the original creator had EVER expected and made the world of sweet home into a sweet nightmare of survival horror that would forever change the course of gaming history as we know it. Sweet Home made it possible to have what we know now in horror games such as but not limited to Resident Evil, Outlast, The Evil Within and many more games. At the root of horror is the story, hope, a little bit of bad dialogue to ease the players woes.
