The Future Of Gaming

in today's technological advances,  some things might be better done on the cloud. Cloud gaming as a whole is one of the many  breakthroughs in gaming technology. The days are gone of having a bulky console sitting on your desk, now we bring the days of games big and small to the universal port of the cloud.

Now, let's be factual would it be smarter to have a system in place where everything was all cloud based games instead of a console? would it make more sense in the long run, or would having a console work better for collectors and nostalgia enthusiasts and for those who would just rather play solo. Since we will be going into the positive and negative view points here I want to keep things as neutral as I can So lets go over why cloud gaming might be the next big thing, or why it might be a flop.

in a world where cloud gaming rules all

The point of gaming is being social we live in a society where, depending on the generation that the person comes from, gaming is still thought of as this "solitary activity." where certain individuals might ostracize themselves from from others. Gaming is allot more than being in solitary confinement with ones self,  gaming is a social event. It is where millions of people interact,  therefore having a "cloud" where all games are located and all players are located will not only prove to be fun but hassle free. you wont have to be on a select console to play games. it would be located right on the PC.

But here's the downfall...

Most, if not all of the games, (besides the indie games) require a decent if not VERY GOOD bandwidth and internet connection.   So here is my question. would gaming be out of the question for someone who does not have an up to par computer?  Would a triple A title run if the person has one terabyte of storage, and four gigabytes of memory? This is why the Stadia for google is a great idea, but when put into practice  for the average person proven an almost impossible feat. Allot of people who are casual gamers wont want to pay ten dollars a months just to game the latest titles.  And a lot of hard core gamers would want their respective consoles. Gamers are picky when it comes down to it. From the console we use, even to the color of our set up.

Now depending on the player  some might want to play on a console, some might want to play online. And when a group of people  choose one over the other that's what the companies will make more of. So if there is a high demand for consoles, company's will make more instead of online gaming and vise versa.  Why do you think we have a combination of both console and multiplayer?  This is so we can choose to play either on our own or with someone.

Now that I have given you all sides even the neutral take, let me know what you guys think! Is cloud gaming going to take over, or will things stay the way they are with consoles being the dominant force?
