INTRO
Resident evil End of Zoe is a side step into another side of Resident Evil 7. Found by Joe, her uncle, Zoe is in a calcified state by Eveline and left mummified, she now relies on her uncle to get the needed treatment to save her. This DLC tied up loose ends in Zoe’s story and gave Resident evil 7 the closure and expansion that it deserved.
A DLC Done the Right Way:
A DLC in theory is supposed to have content that benefits or enhances the main game. Resident Evil7 has several DLC’s and each one benefits the story in a massive way. End Of Zoe goes into the final days of Jack Baker, and gives us a taste of Capcoms respective future in the Resident Evil series, it may be a stretch but I believe Resident Evil 7 predicts the eighth game in this DLC. End of Zoe is a DLC that creates a continued atmosphere where the story has a natural flow and gives the story respect. Having Chris Redfield in the DLC as one of the “knights in shining amour” Is a key factor in my belief in the tie to Resident Evil 8.
It All Lines Up Perfectly: Has anyone who has played this DLC wondered why there is a graveyard/castle setting that mimics the likeness of the one shown in the Resident Evil Village trailer? I believe the camera pan up to castle in the game shows us that not only are we entering into new territory, whether that be metaphorically, or in actuality. But that there will be more kind of character evolution in regards to Chris Redfield. His character is very vaguely set in all the DLC’s, and I think it’s that way for a reason. Short, Sweet, and To The Point Final Thoughts: This demo was fun, it was a good continuation of the story that is Resident Evil 7, it even tied to another very famous Resident Evil game, Code Veronica X in the way that Zoe was calcified, it reminded me of the final boss of the code veronica and. The way in which you had minimal weapons use, and had to mainly use your fists was another strong point of this DLC as well. This is a DLC done correctly, and I would highly recommend it.
