This is a live broadcast: Little Nightmares Two (Demo Review)

Intro: Little Nightmares Two, an upcoming sequel to the horror game from Tarsier Studios Little Nightmares follows the journey of Mono along with other characters to find the purpose of the signal tower. This is all I know for now on the plotline, but from what I see it takes off (to an extent) from where the previous game left us. The last game leaving us in a state of hanging from this cliff of trepidation and what if’s. We know Six, our main protagonist from the first game wasn’t the little innocent that she seemed so seeing how her role is incorporated in this game will be very interesting.

On The Edge of My Seat: This demo, much like the first game left me in anticipatory wonder. Even though this was only just a glimpse of what was to come it left me wanting more and left me very excited for the game to be released. With new characters, and new puzzles I was happy and had come to terms with the thought of “yes I know I will die a lot, but I will have fun doing so.” This demo was lengthy as well, it felt like it took me about 30 minutes to get through it which I feel, allowed for me to really get my brain around how much will be in this game content, story and puzzle wise. The characters were so creepy, and while I know I haven’t witnessed the extent of what lay ahead for me as the player, I felt a sense of nervous excitement going through the parts of the demo. Holding the little boys hand, creeping through the grass to get away from the hunter, seeing the hanging basket of bodies it’s all the things about Little Nightmares I remember yet it has upped the ante and made things even more suspenseful!

An Interesting Comparison: The demo for Little Nightmares Two released on PC, but I will be playing it on Xbox series X and I found the controls for this PC version cumbersome at first but I quickly adapted. I assume the Xbox controls will be the same as the previous little nightmares so for me personally the console controls will be easier to maneuver. Every game is different. Some games I find easier to play on PC, some are easier with a controller so it all about picking what suits you for what game. Final Thoughts: I am very excited for the release of Little Nightmares Two. This demo was wonderful, it gave me a taste of what’s to come, it was a very good length to get an idea of the puzzles and some of the characters and the creepy levels where at a ten. If you want to pre order your copy you can now! Little Nightmares Two releases on February 11th 2021.
