Here is my play through of Not A Hero DLC
In an ever-changing world of growth, and self-discovery, we as company promise only the best in bringing you the ultimate in medicine and medical technology, umbrella, paving the way to a healthy future.
In the span of a little over, now twenty years Resident Evil has managed to make a society and real world issues that are incorporated into their games. Within their universe(s) of bio mechanical warfare, deranged zombies and entrancing puzzles we find our way to present day, (at the time if this games release, 2017). We play as beloved hero, Chris Redfield who is working with Blue Umbrella to search for Lucas Baker to stop him from leaking out the mutamycyte Bioweapon. Chris still has issues with working for a branch of Umbrella, but it is made clear through notes found throughout the game that there will be another game coming explaining how Chris got incorporated into “Blue Umbrella,” I predict Resident Evil Eight might be occurring in the year 2020. While yes, there still is a story to tie up and finish in the resident evil universe, this is the most complete I have ever felt playing a Resident Evil game, in a sense that I felt a definite close coming in the story. It might not be within the next game, but the story will end with EVERY character in mind, going from the beginning to present.
Though the game is short since it is a DLC, it carried allot of information. The most interesting thing to me was the information I got from the case briefings Chris got when he arrived to the first save point. The note describes Umbrellas changing and accepting fault for their past but still keeping the “Umbrella name” since they don’t want to shy away from the public's critiques, since they were at fault for the entire viral outbreak in the first game. There is a discussion that is supposed to take place at the end of the game between a mystery girl on the other line whom is talking to Chris and guiding him along in his ventures. I feel like there will be answers to what they would be discussing in Resident Evil Eight, and honestly, I feel like this girl on the other end is Jill Valentine, or another member of “Blue Umbrella.”
All in all there was a lot in this DLC that I loved. Obviously, I LOVED that Chris came back into the picture, its wonderful that Mikami has mad a universe as concentrated and malleable and lifelike as resident evil. We miss characters when they aren’t there and have a real world human attachment to them that makes them personified in a sense, and bring a role model-esque sense for the younger kids who are playing this series. would I recommend this DLC? Yes, absolutely, it continues off where Resident Evil Sven left off in a very genuine matter! In an ever-changing world of growth, and self-discovery, we as company promise only the best in bringing you the ultimate medical manipulation….
