Showcase of the year:
Xbox and Bethesda showcased a plethora of games that is sure to please, satiate and wow gamers from all over. There is something for everyone, from tastes ranging in disturbing, cute, calming and adventurous. I was very pleased that Scorn made its Prescence known today since that is my top three anticipated games of the year. its grotesque nature and possibly good story have me hooked! Other titles like Red Fall, Wo Long look very promising and are titles that are sure to please the adventurer in us all. The show brought so many titles to the table that not only are we filled for this year, but our plate is filled to the brim next year as well, and that's not even counting Nintendo games and PlayStation titles too.
The Star of the show: Kojima showing up was a pleasant surprise. I was half expecting Norman Reedus to be trailing behind him, announcing the next title. But in all seriousness, him teasing what is a new game in partnership with Xbox is a delight that I am so looking froward too. I feel as if the universe wants gamers to be happy, and in abundance so we are being graced with never-before-seen Mirical's. Will this game be the next Death Stranding, or something new, eerie and filled with meaning and possibilities? In Kojima Fashion the message was short, cryptic and to the point. Just the way everyone likes it. Also, please keep you hype in check it is VERY unlikely that he will be recreating P.T Silent Hills, or ANY Silent Hill remake for that matter. Let the series rest in peace, and graceful run its course. There are a lot of rumors going about right now, spreading like a disease and if feel as if these showcases bring us back down to reality, where we need to be. Granted I thought I would see The Evil Within 3 shown today. Even though it won't be happening, most likely ever I still have some hope left in this heart of mine. Being realistic is key to having happiness during these showcases, so you dont let yourself down.
They did good overall: This Xbox showcase was one of the best. It shows a variance in subject matter and gameplay and new technological heights. form Overwatch two, to Diablo 4, to High on Life, to even Persona 3, 4 and 5 coming to PC. There was so much to take in and so many titles I couldn't keep track of them all. But one thing for sure our back logs will be so incredibly filled. To a degree, that's a good thing. There is never a shortage of anything to play, our controllers never get dusty, and we always have something new just on the horizon.
